Do the cone inserts dampen the noise much? I was thinking of picking up a set for the occasional trip to town that I make in my Nova.

I love the inserts. They make the truck sound great and I don't leave the track with a bustin head. They actually picked my truck up a little as well. Are they legal in the valley?

If your talking about the Dynatech Vortex cones, I have heard people say they picked up a tad with them and they say they will muffle the high pitched noise as well. The way of thinking behind them (the Dynatech ones anyway) is that the total area of all the little holes are greater then the total area of the opening they are in.
