we were looking for a family track & thought about coming to ohio valley. if this board is any example of how the people at your track talk i don't think that i would want to bring my kids. i have been to some other sites that someone mentioned on here and did not see that kind of language used. i also did not see were they were putting down other tracks or racers. is this common for your track? doesn't this run off prospective racers or do you not want new people to come over? the top says keep the talk clean and civil.

its not that way at all...if i see it correctly, it didnt start untill a few odd names from other places started showing up. this battle, or whatever it is, is between US60 and Windy Hollow. Leave Ohio Valley out of it. this never should have been carried here in the first place.

your right about that, but oakleys name did get brought up and none of those strange names were here until then. so theres something to think about!!!!!!

apparently i'ts a discussion between racers at windy hollow and us.60, not valley or bowling green, most racers have raced at all of these mentioned tracks, i haven't heard that much discussion from local racers about any real problems, at any of these tracks, some people not happy, but, by no means the normal.

yes Mr Oakley was brought up, but that doesnt mean that the discussion should reflect badly on the WHOLE of ohio valley, especally with the door slammers coming up. thats not right. Every track has people who are not so nice, every track has people who would qualify as saints. leave it at that, and go on about your business. Theres no point in bringing the valley into all this mess between 2 other tracks when everyone involved (who should really only be Thornberry and oakley anyway) knows that this isnt the place for it. Yes its a discussion board, and yes people are entitled to their opinion, but i will be d**ned if i sit back and let another track have their name dragged through the mud and have this junk start all over again.

No offense but that sorta makes you a hypocrite for bashing these peeps for taking up for their track and manager. At least those people had the guts to use their own names. Yes from what I have read it was started on here and it looks to me that it was trying to bash their race. So yes it does make you a hypocrite, relatively speaking.

enough is enough relatively speaking, everyone has things that they are hypocritical about. its all carried over from other boards and you know it as well as i do, thats why i even said a word. you think im a hypocrite...check around, the people talking like they are the nicest sweetest cant event say thanks for a compliment. and the name wasnt hiding, it was making a statement, showing support for a track being bad mouthed in the beginning of this ridiculous thread. I really hope that you were not referring to me in the above post. If you were you should really give someone time to get back to their computer before you throw something negative at them.
BTW..thank you - I know my son kicks butt!

no tabatha i wasnt referring to you at all, i was referring to something that happend in the past with another person. i know you have to have time to respond to a post. we are all proud of our kids accomplishments. im thrilled to death with mine because he can get the Jr that we just bought him from one end of the drive way to the other without screwing up. yes i know he was calling me hypocritical, and i said it dint matter to me. im so d**n tired of argueing. racing is supposed to be fun, and this isnt. if it keeps up, none of the tracks are going to have a good name and none of us want that. I wish we could find somthing that we all agree on and call it over with once and for all.

Thank you Crystal for the offer. I am sure that we will back to Ohio Valley. We did come to Ohio Valley last year to race on a Sunday (it was a 2 day race). We had our Super Pro car and one of our Jr.s No one spoke to us the entire day. But I would like to hope that was just a bad day and not every visit to your track would be that way. Now I would like to say in not one post by me or my friends has anyone put down Ohio Valley or US 60 on this board. They have only been defending their track and their track manager. We just feel that the people that have been putting down Windy and it's manager on this board are speaking out of turn. Unless they have been there this year, they really can't say what the track is like. Ohio Valley is a great track and US 60 is one of my husband favorites, but Windy has made some definate improvements this year. You guys are upset at us for posting on your board, but you should be more angry at your guys that started the crap. Tammy I went back to Windy and read some of your post. I could not find any where you were not replyed to. I also could not find any where Jennifer Terhune did not reply back to you. You guys are welcome to the Windy board anytime and DRT.com. You must register though to read and post, but I can promise you that you will not find one post were some one is saying that your track manager is arrogant or that your track needs to be blowed up. Thank you again, Tabatha Carman Carman Racing Super Pro and Junior Dragsters

I love OV. I have always enjoyed racing there and have done well there. Actually after my dad passed Debbie Cash took up a collection there to help me get on my feet. It was very nice and I will always hold a special place in my heart for those people. I have nothing bad to say about any other track if I did I would take it straight to the manager themselves. They are the only ones that can correct the problems. I said after my last post I wasnt going to post again because I didn't want to be in a space I'm not wanted. But I had to add that I have no problem with any other track.
And Tammy, I'm sorry if I ignored a post to me. I guess I never saw it.

it wasnt a post directly to you Jennifer, i guess i in haste i worded wrong what i said. House cleaning, 2 days hang overs and screaming kids dont mix (dont ask, its not pretty haha) its an in general thing that i have noticed, and not just with myself either, i wont try to point out all of the times, it would be a difficult task. Mainly when i complimented you guys on the team spirit award, THAT was ignored...you did an awesome job, and i really wanted you to know that. It made me remember the days when Indy was fun for everyone. Alot of people go up there just for themselves and run for the money......you know, the old I in team thing......there isnt one.
tabatha, i used to feel the same way about the Valley, but i found out i was wrong. Possibly people are wrong about Windy and 60 too?? Maybe we need to have a track swap night...that would definatly be interesting wouldnt it? Going some place new is kind of like dating....it works both ways, if you want someone to notice you, you may have to speak to them first. Each time i saw i new face yesterday, i would either smile or say hi...i guess not everyone is like that though.

Exactly Tammy, that was my post on US 60 site. If everyone keeps putting down tracks and managers then there will never be a big 3 day race like it used to be. I guess that we are all in the same boat. We want everyone to give the tracks that we call home a chance. It just seems like Windy has been taking some hard hits lately more than the others. I can tell you I have not always been a fan of Windy's but it is not the same track. I know that you saw that with the Team Spirit at Indy! It was awesome. Now about Windy's track manager. I wouldn't call him arrogant, definitely confident. But most racers do not get far without some confidence. I can tell you that my kids think the world of him and he would do anything he could for any of those Jr. Kids at his track (as I am sure most managers would). He along with his wife Jessica have made some great changes. He has gave up his full-time racing career to bring something back to Windy that has been gone for quiet a while and that is sportsmanship. Maybe we can all get together and have a big bash next year. Maybe a month long tour, every weekend everyone go to a different track! I am sure that we would all be impressed!
