Ok Here it is all we been waiting on. This is set in stone. We got this info at the annual NHRA Divisional tech meeting in Indy 8 Jan Full-bodied cars, altereds and Funny cars running 8.49 (1/4 mile) or quicker and dragsters must meet applicable SFI Chassis Specifications. For 2005, NHRA will adopt 5 new SFI Chassis specifications for full bodied cars (SFI Spec 25.2, 25.4, and 25.5 and altereds (10.2 and 10.3). Under these new specs, effective 1 Jan 2005, all first time certification must meet the applicable SFI Specs. Begining 1 Jan 2006, all currently tagged chassis must meet the applicable SFI specs at the next scheduled recertification These new SFI Specs will effect vehicles that compete in Alternate Sanctioning organizations, E.T., Advanced E.T. and Comp.
