How about this for payouts. The total payout is $2700. How about splitting it like this:
$1500-win $500-runner up $200-semis $80-quarters
I know that totals $2720 but that at least gives some of us slower cars a chance to win our entry fee back. Paying back 8 cars may draw more cars too. Currently, you have to have a hell of a car to make it to the semis. Just a thought though.

That is what I was thinking also Joe. The 2 grand might bring more cars, but paying back further might keep, more cars. Hope to see yall again this year, the green ride should be running again. Chris B. Allwardt

I agree. OVOS would just get it back at the next race. Better yet give quarters a free pass or cut rate on the next race?

They could at least pay Entry enough to cover their day of racing and still have enough to buy a hamburger if they win.

I would like to see a little increase too in entry. I like the valley but a trip from Indy is a good expense.

I like running at valley too and I drive three hours to get there. I don't think anyone is asking for no big payout but if you win a race I think you should get enough to pay for your trip. The payout was raised in outlaw and true street. Why not in entry street?

Yeah I agree also that payout in 8.5 should be higher. Hell I'm only drive about 45 minutes away and $200 will bearly pay for the expenses for the day.

How much do you guys think the payout for 8.5 should be? I think it should be higher also but after a talk with Tony I understand OVOS 's reasons. I spend almost that just racing that day. Maybe more, but I have gone to a couple of semi's and won my $35 back. If thats all I win back is my entry fee then its a GOOD day racing. I'm not in it to make a ton of money. I just want a good place to race and OVOS is that place.

I don't know anybody that is in to racing to make a ton of money. About eveyone just loves to race and would probably do it for free. And I have heared the reason that if they only pay $200 it will keep the class fun and nobody will put a lot of money in their stuff. I don't think this is working by the times the cars are running and I don't see them going to slow down. So why not pay enough to cover their raceday. I agree winning your entry fee back is a good day at the races, just not braking anything or getting hurt is a good day. Aun't trying to make anybody mad but $200 for winning a race with this kind of competition is a little bit of an insult.
