Bluegrass Super Shifters will be at OVR this Saturday 05/09/2015. It's open to all racers, no membership required. This is the 1st of 2 events for OVR and there will be 2 races at US60 this year.

BLUEGRASS SUPER SHIFTER RULES 2014
#1 must be a Manual Transmission. No clutch turbos.
#2 All cars must leave the line by releasing the clutch pedal with their leg.
#3 no delay boxes, clutch magnets or any other device to release the clutch.
#4 Burn outs can be done past the starting line.
#5 NO RERUNS. Only exception is if the timing system fails during a run.
#6 All shifts must be performed by the movement of the drivers arm.
#7 It will be a Bracket style race with racers running on their own dial in’s.
#8 All NHRA and IHRA safety rules apply at all BGSS events. Every driver will wear a helmet no matter of their E/T.
#9 Bye runs will be determined by the best R/T from the round before. Only one bye run per driver unless all remaining drivers already had a buy run. In that case it will go back to the best R/T from the round before.
#10 S-Stick 8.49 and quicker in the 1/8 mile on slicks. No street tires or DOT radials. Cheater slicks are OK. Pay outs for S-stick $1000 winner $500 R/U semifinals $125. Pay out scale is based on a 30 car field. $60 entry fee. More cars will raise the pay outs. Less cars will lower the pay outs.
#11 D-Stick 8.50 and slower in the 1/8 mile on DOT radial tires. No slicks or cheater slicks. Tires must be stamped DOT radial, must have mufflers and working lights. Insurance and registration not required. Pay outs for D-stick $500 winner $250 R/U semifinals $75. Pay out scale is based on a 20 car field. $45 entry fee. More cars will raise the pay outs. Less cars will lower the pay outs.
#12 Deep staging only allowed in S-stick. Must have Deep written on your window above your dial in.
#13 courtesy staging, if you turn both stage lights on, do not back out of the beams unless directed by the starter. If the other driver pre stages then he accepts the double bulb. If you turn both bulbs on and the starter tells you to back out and you turn both bulbs on again before the other driver turns on their pre stage bulb you are DQed. No exceptions.
#14 If both pre stage lights are on and one driver backs out without the starter telling them too that driver is DQed. No exceptions.
#15 member ship fee is $45. You do not have to be a member to run with BGSS. If a driver wants to run for points they must become a member with the BGSS. Points, 10 points will be rewarded to the winners to every round. In the event of a rain out points will only be given to the drivers who bought a tech card, turned it in and raced in competition. If the even gets called before eliminations the BGSS will try to have a rain date.
#16 Once eliminations start a driver must drive the same car.
#17 Any driver getting caught drinking alcohol will be DQed from that even and possibly suspended for the year from the BGSS. No exception….
#18 Any complaint must be brought to a BGSS official first. There will be no fighting between racers. fighting will result is a suspension from that event with no refund and possibly the season.
#19 The BGSS reserves the right to change any rule between events. Only safety rules can be changed during an event. We are all there to have fun and we will try to make it as safe as possible.

4 comp runs ran on a rotating ladder set by R/T from the time runs. The 4 cars that have the most wins from the comp runs move into the semi finals for eliminations. If there is a tie at the end of the comp
runs the tie breaker will be best R/T ave from the comp runs.
