Any chance of going back to the team points system like back in the day. Two drivers for one car. Just a thought.

I never really understood the problem with this. To me it is harder to do good racing with (2) drivers.

There's no "problem" with the way it is now, just throwing the idea around to see if there were any interest.

not sure if the computer system will allow 2 drivers with the same number, and if you were to win the points per say, who actually won. I guess you could change the number each run, then it's not a team, back to individual points.

Not two drivers in one day I'm saying one driver one weekend and one driver the next I can already tell this bumping some of y'all's fuzzy heads haha. They ran points system like this back when my dad and uncle first started racing.

As far as I know it is like that now. Points got to the car number not the driver. I remember Theresa say over the speakers if you the driver want the points in another car you have to put that number on it.

No his point is you use to be able to have two different drivers. Me and my brother did it back in the day. He raced one week and I raced the next but points counted as one. That way the car may be there every week getting points but could be either driver. More MONEY for the track. Heck me and Chris would do this. He has to work a lot and cant race.

Points currently go to the driver.

Yes you are correct. The driver that has that number. 1 number to one driver. One night I ran trophy in my cavalier and a driver in pro broke. He asked me to run for him since it was already paid for and so he can get the points. So I put his number on my car with pro next to it and I had my number with a T next to it. I lost but he still got the points for the Pro run. So it is true you can run the same car each week with a different driver, but the points are going to the name next to the number originally.

Terry said points only go to the driver. Yeah you may have gotten away with doing that but they probably didn't catch it.
