I think he's giving the big blocks a weight break so that they can compete better with power adder small blocks. But the N/A small block combos can't keep up with either with only a 200 lb. break. Charlie will the small blocks get the same weight break as the big blocks in 8.5?

The '04 rules were 3000 lbs for a n/a small block, 3200 for power adder small block and n/a big block and 3400 for a power adder big block.

BTW, thanks for taking the time to come by my trailer at the October race to pick up my tech card while I was pulling my hair out with ignition troubles. I really appreciated that. Can't wait until April.

I think anything from Ohio with a new combo that is unproven by anyone should get a 200 lb weight break. I have a learning curve coming and nobody to ask questions because we will be the first to try this. sure bill, by the first race you"ll have made more passes than I make in a year.your own quote says" believe the hype", can you say PLAYIN POSSUM! if it looks like BS, smells like BS, it must be BS, I say add 200 on bill before he runs away with it {just kiddin bill} steve

I think for this year I'm changing my words instead of "Believe the hype" The new one will be "Don't believe the hype because there is none" I hope my new setup works but nobody has ever tried what I'm about to do. There has been other versions of what I'm trying with limited success but none have set the world on fire. We are more of a test dummy for this set up but I really think once we can dyno it we will know a lot more info at that point about how it may run.

Bill, your not going to try one of those alcohol/turbo setups are you?? If you are I can tell you all about them, even dyno numbers. They can make some power for sure, but I doubt anyone can use it all on 10.5w's. Either way, good luck with the new combo.

Chris with out letting anything out of bag it could be something like that but with one big difference which I can't talk about because it hasn't been copy righted yet. Once it is and the dyno numbers are in then I can talk a little more about it but until then it's just all on paper and no idea for sure that it will work. I don't think anyone can use the power that the small block turbo's are making on a W tire. Steve Petty told me that they are making 2400 with Tim's car.

Whats your point Chad? If this is about Billy Glidden then i will tell you that he is far better at pleading his case than you are...I talked to Billy on Saturday for an hour and a half and we are working on the small block rules. Calling people yahoos wont do anything but cause the stubbornness to come out and then nothing can be accomplished...This is 1/8th mile racing so we look mainly at the 1/8th mile numbers...With that said then I will say one thing that was figured out with Billy...Everyone thinks that he is sandbagging when he runs his car, have we(me included) asked ourselves how he can lay back on his 1/8th mile numbers when he is racing a 1/4 mile race? He offered to mail his fastest timeslips(that are documented from each event) from this past year and he says that his car averaged 152MPH in the 1/8th, which is less than the turbos...We are wanting input because we feel that there may need to be some consideration given to this before we make a decision...We agree that to let Billy run at a weight that gives him a chance at winning isnt unfair to anyone, however, Billy knows that if he has been given too much and is dominating the class that we wont hesitate to make a change...He asked for 2600lbs on a 33W and we were at 2750, if we meet somewhere in the middle it should be 2675(maybe as low as 2650)...GIVE SOME HONEST FEELINGS AND USE YOUR NAME OR IT WONT STAY ON THE BOARD!
