I will only be running 3 OSCA races this year and the rest will be down south for the big money. New parts should be ordered not long after PRI so I can start testing again early in the year.

N/A small block combos need 100 lbs taken off. No way 200 lbs is enough of a break to keep up with an unlimited power adder.

What weight does a V-6 w/power adder run at in Outlaw 8.5?

The rule explains itself Chris, dont let 50lbs stop you from coming...You will have to weigh 3100 on a 33W and you should be very competitive at that weight...If we find that we have enough "exotic" trans-equipped cars then we'll drop the weight off of it...We are looking to provide a fair set of rules, a nice place to race, and a decent payout for the 2005 season and we'd love to see you there...

I didn't say it would keep me from coming, I think the rules look fair, I just don't understand the exotic trans penalty. Would a completely aftermarket PG get hit with the penalty? The fastest 10.5w car in the world went 4.54 this past weekend with a PG. I don't think there should be a weight penalty put on a transmission that uses a converter, but that is just my educated opinion. Take care

We feel that if there wasnt some sort of an advantage to running them that nobody would spend the money to get them...Why does a person spend an extra 5 or 6 grand to run a lenco or a liberty? Like i said before, if we see that we have a field that doesnt need this penalty then we wont waste any time in removing it...
