Scotty is on point here. That's the best scenario for this terrible idea for a points system

What is the plan if only 5 or 7 top 8 cars show up at the last races after doorslammers? Is there going to be alternates or is the going to be a driver getting a Free pass to next round because you can't put in 9 ,10or 11th place in for the top 8. Thats just wrong!!!!! I would say you fellas are openning a big azzz can of worms. But carry on this could get more exciting than the old points system with the every weekend racers. I think they should call them to the lanes Randomly through the Season like Quick 8. And race the top 8 at that time and get Bonus Points for rounds Won only in the top 8. Run them on Pro Ladder. They will have to take the top 8 cars that are there even if you are in 12th spot at the time. No letting any racer holding up the Program because he or she couldn't make it that race. No Drama!!!!!!!!!!! They may run them Twice a month or none that Month. 4 or 5 races like this could change up the outcome before Doorslammers. You could start out a Hero and Wound up a 0!!! But that's Just My OPINION I could be WRONG!!!!!!!!

There needs to be at minimum equal emphasis on winning and attendance. Bonus points awarded need to reflect that. Don't have a problem with attendance being rewarded but should not outweigh what happens on the track during the season. Strike a balance between the two and you are on to something with this point system. Shootout will be exciting for competition.

What's the purpose of a ladder anyway? We race all year by random pairs. The purpose of a ladder is based on performance advantage. There's no performance advantage in bracket racing. The whole shootout thing doesn't work anyway. Last year in Nascar Harvick would not have won the championship based on the old cumulative points style. Same thing for John Force and Erica Enders. There's no way to accurately represent 6 months of racing in 3 or 4 weeks. They way the points are being presented now, you buy your points at ohio valley.

A ladder will stop the pick and choose who you run. That is what has been going on, {listening to some of the racers}!
